Syfy Idents - Man vs. Machine / Proud

London design studio ManvsMachine collaborated with Proud back in 2009 to rebrand the Sci Fi channel.

The idents and the general on-air look is simple, elegant and modern.  I really like the contrast of the colourful elements against it's white setting.  The idents are all very intriguing and have the sense of a revelling mystery about them, no doubt to reflect the type of programming shown on Syfy.  

I recently went to hear Man vs. Machine speak at 'See No Evil' event in Old Street, London in April. They have have some great work to showcase so check them out.

As I have just started this site there is going to be a little bit of back tracking as I will post links to my favourite video's I seen over the past few months.  

The title sequence 'Crazy Enough' created by JR.Canest is one that has stuck in my mind every since viewing it 4-5 months ago.

It's a simple concept, brilliantly executed, the sequence flows as if he was orchestrating the keyframes with a baton.  Those of us who are used to working with After Effects can appreciate his masterful control of them. Hats off to you JR!
